“The Daydream” (2009)
This piece was created as a response to an assignment to incorporate ‘motion’ & ‘sound.’ “The Daydream” is the first piece I made where I wouldn’t be explicit about my intentions, although at the time it did mean a lot to me; a broken heart can be a wonderful thing for creating art. This piece received such a positive response from my class that my professor insisted on playing it twice at the critique. I was so embarrassed I left the room. This piece means something more to me now & is still probably one of my favourites from my undergraduate degree.
